This is the rechargeable Motiva Personal FM 330 System. Background noise is reduced, and maximizes listening by wirelessly broadcasting a speaker’s voice, audio program or simultaneous mix for all participants to hear. It’s ideal for classrooms, small group listening, employee training, consultations, or any environment where listening can be difficult.

Specifications:
The PFM R33 shall be a wideband sixteen channel synthesized FM receiver operating on 72MHz to 76MHz. It shall be housed in a titanium colored PC/ABS plastic enclosure 4.6” x 1.1” x 2.8” and be compatible with the CHG 3502 and CHG3512 chargers. The R33 shall be powered by two AA batteries and shall run for 21 hours on two alkaline disposable batteries and seventeen hours on the Williams Sound Corp. BAT 026 rechargeable batteries. The R33 shall have the antenna integrated into the headphone cord. The top bezel shall have a 3.5mm stereo jack that can drive both stereo and mono headphones, a rotary on/off volume control and have a power LED and an FM indication LED.Inside the battery compartment there shall be a rotary squelch control, rotary tone control, a sixteen position channel selector, an Alkaline or NiMH switch to select for charging operation and an output control which can reduce the maximum output by up to 17dB.The R33 shall be FCC, Industrie Canada and RoHS compliant and shall have a five year warranty. This receiver shall be the Williams Sound PFM R33.

The PFM T36 is a wide band body-pack transmitter and shall operate on 16 selectable frequencies between 72MHz and 76MHz. It shall operate for up to 30 hrs with two AA Alkaline batteries and shall be housed in a titanium colored PC/ABS plastic enclosure. The T36 shall have a 3.5 mm microphone jack and a 2.5 mm auxiliary audio input jack. The T36 shall have access to channel select, compression on/off, channel lock, master gain and aux gain inside the battery compartment. There shall be a power switch which also serves as a microphone mute control on the top bezel of the transmitter. The T36 shall have wide band modulation at 75KHz peak with a frequency response of 200Hz to 16KHz. The transmitting antenna shall be integrated into the 40 inch microphone cable. The PFM T36 shall be covered under a five year parts and labor warranty. This transmitter shall be the Williams Sound PFM T36.

 

How do I use the compression selector?

  • By default, the PFM T36 compression is set to “Off” for normal operation, or “1:1” compression. For hearing assistance applications, the compression selector can be set to “On” for “2:1” compression.To change this setting, open the battery door and locate the Compression Selector (FIG 4). To turn on compression, use the supplied small screwdriver and slide the “Comp” switch to the position marked “2:1”. To turn off compression, slide the “Comp” switch to the position marked “1:1”.

How are the batteries inserted/removed?

  • Open the battery compartment by pressing and lifting the tab on the back of the device with your finger. To remove depleted batteries, pull up on the fabric strip. Press the new batteries into place over the fabric strip. Be sure to observe proper polarity (+/-). Damage due to improper battery installation may void the warranty on the product. Close the battery door. The “Power On” LED on top of the device will flash when the batteries are getting low; you may continue to use the unit until it stops operating, then replace or recharge batteries. The receiver or transmitter can use two (2) Alkaline AA batteries (BAT 001) or two (2) AA rechargeable batteries (BAT 026). Note: The BAT 026 provides longer life than other rechargeable batteries. For best product performance, do not substitute other rechargeable batteries and chargers.

What is the expected battery life for the PFM R33/R36?

  • Alkaline batteries (BAT 001): 21 hours
  • Rechargeable NiMH Batteries (BAT 026): 17 hours
  • Minimum 14 hour recharge time

What if the charging light is not coming on?

  • Make sure the power supply is plugged in.
  • Make sure rechargeable batteries are installed into the Transmitter and Receiver and that the ALK/NiMH selector inside the battery compartments is switched to NiMH.
  • The Transmitter and Receiver should be turned OFF while charging.
